"Tree Shroom" Paintings

These are tree shrooms or mushrooms. They are fungi that grow on stumps of decaying trees.

When I gather them, I naturally dry them out for a few months, then lightly sand the surface to paint. After they are painted I eurethane them to seal in the vibrant colours of the paintings. Then, they are mounted, in whatever way I see works, to display on a bookshelf or anyplace you wish.
